Okay for now

I bought this HDD to replace one that failed in an HP laptop. Funny, the laptop sat in the original box unopened for 2 years, and when finally put into operation, the drive failed in 3 months. I will rate this one fairly high for the time being but will reserve the right to revisit. So far it has been flawless and the speed is excellent. For a 5400 rpm drive the seek and response time is not bad. Replacement was easy, quick, and I ran my backup which loaded in about 40 minutes. Hope this drive works like other Toshibas I have used before instead of a dismal failure from the factory installed model. Great price and got it to my door quickly as well.

Brokein 3 months

This hard drive just quit in 3 months and 10 days. Please dont ask me to look at my mannual because I did not get one. I got a box with a hard drive wrapped in a piece of plastic and a plastic bag that looked like at one time it had air in it. I dont buy things like this very often and you killed my confidence to ever do it again.
