Great uppers, soles lasted 2 months

I was very excited when I purchased these boots. I had been looking high and low for a comfortable, stylish, and simple pair of full grain leather knee high boots. They work very well with casual and going out looks, including both pants and skirts. When I am not wearing them, I kept them zipped up and upright in order to preserve the natural shaping from the uppers, which are great. They broke in very well and keep their shape. However, after only a couple of months of wear (and not wearing every day), the soles cracked. My wonderful $150 boots are useless. The soles are cracked straight across, which will only get worse with more wear. I do not bend my soles in weird, contorted positions, nor do I stuff my boots into a bag, or any other thing that might have forced the toes to bend too far and cause the soles to crack. I am still waiting to hear back from Keen on this matter. Hopefully, they will give me my money back, as if this happened so quickly the first time, I am not sure I'd want another pair. The soles are glued on, so they are not replaceable. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend these boots, as much as I'd like to. Save your money.

Nice but not for athletic calves

I ordered both these and the Kaci boots from Keen. I have large calves in comparison to my small feet but these looked like they might be relatively broad in the calf and couldn't find a circumference listed anywhere. Well, the circumference was about 14-14.5" which is way to small for my calves and the ankle is very narrow. This would have worked if the calf would have been wider but for me it didn't work. The boots are very nice looking but just didn't work for me. I did have a friend with thin calves try them on and they looked great on her but she said they rubbed too much around her ankle. The elastic gore at the top doesn't actually have much give so if you don't have relatively small calves these probably won't work for you but the leather quality and look of the boots was very nice. The Kaci boots by the way fit well (a bit tight at first but soft leather stretched quickly). They are a bit more rugged looking and a lot more casual but very comfortable and warm.

Warm, Comfortable And Cute

I searched high and low for a comfortable pair of well made winter boots. It was a full on hunt that turned out to be more difficult than I expected. After checking out various places, I settled on these. My dilemma was finding a good pair of leather boots that were cute, warm and comfortable. These happen to be cute, warm and comfortable!They are also true to size. I read there may be some sizing issues but that wasn't the case for me. I actually found the calf to be roomy and I'm no waif. I was afraid of having the leather stretch out so I bought my actual size and they worked out great, even with thicker socks - which by the way, are not necessary with these.I went with the black ones but Keen offers a red pair that are adorable. Overall, I'm thrilled with these and find myself putting them on everyday. Maybe if they work out, I'll spring for the red ones too. I'll have to see what damage the Holidays do to my wallet first though.Oh, and my 4 year old niece told me she liked my new boots - what more could I ask for.

Attractive, professional large laptop bag

I hesitated in spending nearly $90 on a bag, but 17" laptop bags are hard to come by. I LOVE THIS BAG. It is very high quality and looks great. There are lots of pockets and plenty of storage spaces. My 17" laptop fits perfectly in the padded slot. I can fit the cords and cables, books, paperwork and so much more into this very attactive bag. This is a high quality product that I'm very pleased with!

Great Bag!

This is a great bag! I just started using the bag a few weeks ago, but it seems the quality is there. I love the layout inside - with enough pockets to get organized, but not so many compartments you forget where you put stuff! The front zippered area is amazingly spacious too! The straps sit well on your shoulder and the nylon exterior seems incredibly durable. The faux leather seems okay right now. That would be the first thing to breakdown on this bag though.It definitely fits my 17.3" workstation (very, very few bag fit something this big), but without feeling like I'm lugging a suitcase around. And, it's business-professional enough for my marketing job without being boring black. I would say, if you're a black-suit-every-day type job, this bag may not be considered professional enough.For daily use, this bag easily carries my workstation, paper files, power supply, mouse, camera, other cords and general purse items with ease. The laptop padding is okay, and most of the pockets have enough reenforced stitching that they shouldn't rip. The only down side, is the empty bag weighs 2.5-3lbs., meaning once you add a large laptop, papers, etc. it definitely gets heavy quickly!

sturdy work boots

I have been buying Keen shoes for my husband for a few years now. He is a residential general contractor, so he can really work a pair of shoes over - snow, rain, mud, etc. Keen has been one of the toughest shoes I have ever bought for him. My husband usually wears his Keens to work every day until I deem them unfit to wear anymore and are forced to throw them away. These have lasted him longer than any other shoe. They have excellent arch support. Not like the regular work boots you buy for construction workers - which are terrible. This particular pair is water resistant and has thinsulate, perfect for winters here. He wore them for the first time while pushing snow off the driveway and came back in and commented on how warm they were. I highly recommend these boots or any other Keen shoes, for that matter.

Super fast shipping, Great shoes!

I am in Afghanistan. Winter is coming. Thigh high snow in probably a month and a half. Needed warm waterproof boots. I already wear regular Keen boots and love the quality, and the fact they are wide enough for my "Flintstone feet". Found these, but was kinda hesitant to order them because they don't come from Amazon, they're from "Planet Shoes". Anyways, I ordered them on the 17th, and got them on the 27th. 10 days is not bad, considering my order status still says they will be "shipping soon". They are a little higher than normal Keen boots, but that should be good for winter. They are also VERY WARM. Almost can't wait for it to snow so I can wear them. They look to be a little better built than my other Keens, only time will tell. My old Keens are 6 months old, been worn every day in Afghanistan and the only issue with them is the way the sole is designed, it has little edges that wrap around the sides that are coming unglued, but other than that, they are like brand new. These new boots aren't designed like that, so I don't see it being a problem. Hopefully I remember to write an update when the snow actually comes, but as of right now, I'm very happy.

Nice Boots !

I'm fond of Keen shoes and sandals, in fact more than fond, so when I needed to get some hiking boots, I choose Keens again. They a bit heavier than I expected, but not a showstopper by any means, comfy, warm and waterproof, all great attributes. What stops it getting the full 5 stars is that it binds a bit at the top, so I don't lace them all the way up. If it's not your practice to lace boots to the top, then by all means give these boots a 5 star rating.

Excellent purchase!

**(1 yr. updated review) So far pretty pleased but there are some issues. One of the headphones died pretty much right away($20-$30 to replace),the RCA audio output does have an annoying whine, but the FM modulator works perfect still. The headphones are the worst thing on these cause when ever the kids want to use them, plan on having a pair of aaa batteries...**to start Amazon was excellent - great packaging and fast shipping!PROS: These headrests are a perfect match to my 04 Buick Rendezvous tan leather interior - I mean PERFECT. Headphones are easy to use (4yr old handles just fine), touchscreen menu, USB, SD Card, tilt headrests, tilt screen, FM transmitter transmits perfect, great picture. Connected the wii and it works perfect. Posts stretch to 8.5". SD/USB will read MPG & AVI files so far, which is better than others, but it doesn't read the larger HC cards.... so keep it under 1gigCONS: Headphones need to have an "auto-off" feature.... if the kids accidently leave them on overnight, you'll need new batteries. Only 1 hardwired input, the second takes a "jack" next to the screen, which seems like an accident waiting to happen. You loose the headrest "clicks" for height placement and they seem a little loose, but I think I can fix that pretty easily. Touchscreen does not control the DVD, just monitor options.Buick CON: They are very easy to hook up (30mins for both), my nightmare was getting the OEM headrests off..... the Rendezvous for some reason does not have that little push lever to remove the headrests so you will either have to pay $25 each at the dealer to remove or make your own tools :( took hours to get them off with home-made tools.heres some images that I'll try to keep up for awhile.[...][...][...][...]

Awesome Winter Boots

These are exactly what I hoped they'd be, but let's start with the negatives:"Waterproof" is an exaggeration. You'll probably want to spray the outside with Kiwi protector or some such to prevent stains. There is a membrane under the nubuck shell that supposedly accounts for the "waterproof" claim, but I wouldn't trust these for wading or standing in ankle-deep water.Although they are quite warm and well-insulated, these are not boots for arctic hiking through deep snow. Think of them as around-town boots for snowy climates and you'll be very happy, but as a substitute for sorels or some such they may disappoint.Now the good: my trusty old Timberland work boots needed an upgrade. Their waterproofing and insulation has never been great for snow-shoveling and such stuff, and they are also a pain to take off and put back on now that we have new floors in the house. I wanted something warm, fairly waterproof, easy to pull on and off, comfortable and good-looking enough to wear as casual office shoes.These boots hit every mark perfectly. As I said, I would not recommend these as deep-snow hiking boots, but they are great for shoveling two feet of snow. They survive puddles, snow banks, and snowman-building admirably, and keep my feet warm and dry all day long, without the stuffy/sweaty feeling of rubber or true "snow" boots. They are super easy to pull on or off, and look great with jeans or slacks.The tread is really good, and they wear and feel more like sneakers than boots. We've had probably 60 inches of snow in the past month or so, and these boots have made life a LOT easier. Really, they are exactly what they look like in the picture: a comfortable/casual shoe with winter-boot performance.They are probably not an ideal choice for serious winter work boots or adventure boots, but they'd do in a pinch or for day excursions. They are awesome for soccer Dads who have to shovel, sled, navigate uncleared sidewalks, and so on. You can kick them right off when you step inside for a cup of cocoa, and them slip them right back on to head back out and finish clearing the walk, and your feet will stay dry and warm all day.

The best cold weather boots I have owned.

I bought a pair of these two years ago because I live in Northern Michigan. I wanted shoes that were warm and easy to get on and off. These lived up to my expectations. Here are the positives:Comfortable - I wear them every day for six months out of the year; they have been more comfortable then my sneakers and other boots.Stable - The width of the soles keep my feet stable and my ankles from twisting, which was a frequent problem with many other shoes I wore.Good traction - These don't have the best traction on ice as smooth as glass, but I am not sure what shoes do. However, the traction is good in all other conditions.Warm - I have very cold feet. These have kept my feet warm while walking in 6" of snow, shoveling, and plowing with my tractor during the cold, snowy winters we have up here. These are not arctic boots, but they work very well for the 45.5 lattitude and lower.Water resistant - My feet never got wet wearing these except in very deep snow where the snow went between my pant legs and over the top of the boot thereby falling into the boot; my own fault for not wearing snow pants. Recently, I got the boots very wet by cleaning something with a hose; soaking wet and still no water got into the boot. Great job, Keen, for making these genuinely water resistant.Durable - I am hard on shoes. I don't like to change shoes when I change tasks from office work to labor work. I have mowed my yard with them, did woodworking, construction work, fishing, and hiking. These have survived all of that with minimal wear. The only defect they have developed after all this time is the inside lining has developed a hole where the top of my heels rub the hardest against it. Even with this wear, they are still doing better than most shoes and boots I have owned before.Clean easy - I never clean these unless they have severe mud globs on them or I stepped in dog poo. They seem to keep themselves clean for the most part. I have had a bit of fading over the years, but that is typical of leather used under the conditions I have.Easy to put on and off - most slip-on shoes do not work well for me and they have too much slip while walking. These have very little slip when walking and fit perfectly. They pull off with a fair amount ease and are simple to put on. There are two little loops on the top of the boot to help with pulling them on.Sizing - No problems here. I found it to be the same size as my other shoes; therefore, I didn't need to buy a different size to get a pair that fits well. However, this doesn't mean that your current shoes are sized correctly; so I guess it can be a matter of trial and error if you decide to get a pair. I recommend going to a shoe store and trying on a pair to make sure of the size you need.Work with inserts - I have high arches and need to wear arch supports. I actually went the first several months without the supports and these boots were comfortable. My arch supports fit very well in these same size boots, and the boots were still comfortable.Keep in mind I did not treat these boots with any additives for the two years I have had them, and they still worked as advertised.These boot are a fantastic value for your money. I just bought a second par I like them so much.

Warm & Walkable

I ordered these rush and received them in 22 hours from Backcountry. The size 10 are a little more snug than my 10 Sorel Snow Country (on which I got some gasoline and would never make it through TSA at the airport) and size 10 Timberland Pro Series 200gm insulated (which my son borrowed and moved into this winter). I didn't need a half size more but if you're snug in your size already you might think about it. The fit for a slip-on is good, with a little re-curve in the achilles, so they don't slip at all. They are not clunky like a lot of moon-boot insulated boots, very walkable, and enough base and arch to be very stable. In Buffalo in recent minus-zero -20 windchill weather, after fifteen minutes outside waiting for a shuttle my face was frozen and my legs were cold but my feet were toasty. In Boston after a recent 7 inches of snow and two 0.4-mile walks, my feet were warm and dry, with no slipping on snow- or ice-covered concrete, stone, or asphalt. The soles are not your normal waffle-stompers; they look like two kinds of material and they grip and are quiet. They breathe, so I can wear them all day inside okay. I wipe them off with a damp cloth if there's any dirt or salt on them and pop up the innersoles at night like with running shoes.

Great Sniper Rifle

I've had this gun for about 2 weeks now and it is awesome, not a single problem or complaint yet. The bolt action is very, very smooth and the rubber on the bolt is quite nice and i'd say that 450 FPS w/.20 is about right so I suggest .25s for extra accuracy and if you put a decent scope on it then its absolutely pin-point. The rail on the bottom is quite handy since it makes bipod installation very easy and it also comes with a laser you can mount on it. It also comes with extra butt pads, a "useable" sling, and a red cross sight which is basically useless but not completely. All in all this is a fantastic airsoft gun; very powerful, very accurate, comes with some cool extras, and is very good looking.

Awesome gun! I mounted a 3x9x40 scope on it and this gun shoots accurate and hard. I seems very rugged and dependable. The weaver rail under the barrel is perfect for my flashlight and accessories.

Ok to start off this gun is double eagle which is usually bad in the airsoft world but this gun is actually a re-brand of the utg, so this gun is insanly accurate for an airsoft gun I suggest buying this gun. Although I did not receive a sight nor laser.

Good boot

I own several pairs of Sketcher Shape Ups, wear these to work every cold day in the South. They have held up well, but the fit is loose. I have to walk a lot at work, and they slip, I have to wear 2 pairs of socks which is not bad, really. They work hard, and although they do not say water repellent, they do not get soaking wet inside, and I use a hose every day. Hope this helps.

Can't be made waterproof.

Pros:I really do love these boots, overall. They are fashionable, comfortable, and warm. They're my go-to shoes for cold, dry days.Con:They CANNOT be made waterproof. We used a suede spray to waterproof the upper, but the sole seems to absorb water and then is very difficult to dry. I do NOT recommend these as "winter workhorse" boots, for playing in the snow, or on wet or snowy days. Back to the drawing board on that front.Do they help you get into better shape? Who knows? I suspect I get the best fitness results from my exercise classes, not my shoes. But they have the look of a boot and the feel of a sneaker, so I don't mind either way.

*** These are not really cons, but rather Nits to be picked.1. I believe the new memory slots that ASUS is now using will cause them grief.The new slots have a latch on only one side. ALERT! When I installed the memory and felt that familiar "Click", I thought that it was properly seated, when in fact it wasn't. I swapped multiple sticks in and out of various slots and each time it failed to boot. It was only when I pulled the board from the case that I could see that the memory was not properly seated. In each case I had failed to anchor the sticks properly on the SIDE WITH NO LATCH. Once I saw my error, it was easy to rectify. However, it causes me concern to know that I had made the same error over and over for hours! I want to be clear, that there was nothing wrong with the physical memory slots!Better eyesight, or a latch on both sides would have prevented my problem. While building PC's has never been my full time job, I have built and reconfigured dozens in 25 years. I firmly believe my error will be repeated by the general public. If ASUS saves 2 cents per PC by reducing the number of latches, that savings will be eaten up very quickly when someone returns an otherwise good $189.00 board thinking it was faulty.2. When I buy a board, one of the "MUST HAVE" features is support for Error correcting memory. ASUS is one of the few vendors that still produce motherboards that support this feature. However I do believe that they could have gone one step further. A board that supports Error correcting memory should include a place in the BIOS to review the errors, if any are detected. I would hope that someone in ASUS would come out with a BIOS revision that would include an ECC log of errors.3. PS/2 Connector:There is a strip of metal that surrounds the PS/2 connector. I would think that it should be flush to the connector, however my motherboard arrived with it bent out at a 45 degree angle from the board. I don't know what purpose this would serve. I saw another review that mentioned this, and I actually saw a video with this posted on the web. It's no big deal, its just that it makes it a bit harder to install the board, as this extension pushes up against the I/o shield. If anyone knows the purpose of this bent piece of metal, please post a comment and elighten me. Thanks.4. Power supply recycling:When I intially powered up my new build, the power supply clicked on and off about 6 times within a 5 second period. I thought I might have had a short somewhere. It turned out to be that the UPS was not of sufficient size to handle the new board. All was well when I bypassed the UPS and plugged the P/S (Antec EA650) directly into the wall outlet.Pros:1. It just runs the way you would want it to. I've installed Vista Home premium 32 and 64 bit, with the latest drivers, and flashed the most recent bios (0901). I systematically tested every slot, fan and I/O header for which I have an applicable device. After a month and a half: No hiccups, Blue Screens, strange reboots. No nada.2. USB 3.0 and 6GB/s SATA:These two new standards will "future" proof the board, as SSD's become faster and their bandwidth requirements increase. Advances in computer technology has always centered around finding better ways to get the information into and out of the processor.3. Two PCIe (x16) v2.0 slots:While I don't currently use Crossfire, its always nice to have that capability.4. Q-connector. Perfect thing for an aging builder(big clumsy hands, reduced eyesight)! Kudos ASUS! For me, one of the hardest things of building a PC was plugging in all the tiny front panel connectors. HDD-LED, RESET_SW, Power_SW, Power_LED, Speaker are all so much easier to plug in with the Q-Connector! All manufacturers should copy this simple innovation!5. A BIOS which gives the user a lot of control.I don't intend to overclock. I believe in running within the specifications thatwell educated engineers set down. However I do appreciate having the control which a detailed BIOS makes possible.Paired with:AMD Phenom II X4 910e 2.6GHz (65 Watts) stock cooler.Antec Earthwatts EA650 P/SKingston KVR1333D3E9Sk2/2G (2x1GB 1333MHz ECC)PNY Geforce 9800GTX+

Suports ECC ram, stable, fast

I bought this board many months back and have been very happy with it. This board is Rock solid with an inexpensive Sparkle (SPI) 400W PSU. I bought this because I wanted ECC RAM, and I didn't want to give Intel the extra $$$ for a Xenon, as Intel's consumer grade i series stuff does not support ECC.

Durable & Comfortable for a wide foot

This is my second pair of the Alki Lace. I sold shoes for over 10 years, and know I actually have very wide feet (many people think that, but they're really not). The toe box of the Alki Lace is perfect for my flippers. The Compression molded EVA midsole provides good cushioning, it has a high quality sock liner with nice arch support. But the thing I like the most about these shoes is the leather lining in the heel cup. Too many of my shoes wear out at the inside of the heel before anything else. The leather lining provides excellent durability, although it's slim padding might not be idea for someone with an extremely narrow heel. My first pair have seen almost daily use for about a year and are still going strong.They give me the durability of a hiking boot, the comfort of a sneaker, and they're dressy enough to pass for casual business attire.

This shoe is extremely comfortable and versatile. My only complaint about the shoe is that the color is nowhere close to what it appears in the pic. I ordered a black olive pair, in the pic they looked to be more of a brown color. However I was quite surprised when I opened the box and the shoes were green. I actually really enjoy the look of the shoe but I was expecting a brown shoe.

The shoes fit fine and were as expected. The color which is green does not seem to mesh well with my current wardrobe. The green was not as expected? None the less, i kept them but have worn them but a couple of times.

Love them love them!!!

First, these run a teeny bit snug. .. I'm a size 9 to 9 1/2, and the 9 is snug. On the other hand, I've started liking them snug because they feel so cozy. Since the weather changed, I have been wearing these almost every day. I bought the chocolate and the black, and I alternate.The soles are just like the other shape ups or MBTs. Supremely comfortable, excellent quality suede, and very thick fluffy lining. I own MBTs, Sketchers, and some newer off-brand shoes with these kinds of soles. I don't see much of a difference between brands that have these kinds of soles. Besides the benefit of the negative heel, though, they are also more cushioned than other flat-soled boots such as Uggs or Emu. Since they have an inch to two inch thick sole, I find these boots both more comfortable while also appreciating the extra height and insulation from the cold (and hard) ground.The calves are nice and roomy and are easy to tuck your jeans into. I've gotten tons of compliments on these-- almost daily. Great winter boots. I can't recommend them enough.A couple of reviewers stated that the wide shafts slip down. I believe they have this problem, but I can't see how since the suede, in addition to the very fluffy lining, make the boot too stiff to just slide down. Not too stiff to be comfortable, mind you. .. just too stiff to scrunch down or get out of shape. Even when they are off my feet, the boot stays in shape. .. they aren't "scrunchable" or anything like that. I can't even imagine how this can be the case. These boots would never need a boot tree to keep them in good condition, for instance-- they are just the same shape whether my foot is in them or not.

Good Design, but....

In general, these boots lived up to my expectation - comfortable, good shaft height (not to high or too short) and nice wide shaft so that you can tuck in boots or jeans. However, the problem with the shaft being so wide is that it slips down in the back and scraps the back of my ankles -- you know that spot! I've overcome it my wearing very thick socks which the boots have ample room for but we forewarned.

This is my 3rd pair Love them My first pair lasted 4 years, and now I am hoarding the for fear they will not make the tall ones anymore. Can not find black, they are disconnting these great confy boots, were them all the time in winter.
