Great fan, weak instructions

This is one impressive fan. It puts out plenty of air volume and is quiet even when on full blast. It's not so quiet that you don't know its on, but the sound you hear is the air movement and not the motor. I like the dual mode switch via on/off switch. The blue mode (automatic based on humidity) works well, but you can still turn the switch on/off to get to yellow mode (full on) and back.My one complaint echoes others- the instructions need to be a little more descriptive at step 4, installation. My major mistake was the assumption you should cut the hole in the ceiling then push the fan up from below so the bottom flange is visible from the bathroom - nope! You cut the hole then go up to the attic and place the fan on top of the drywall. If you insert from below, you'll never have enough room to extend the support brackets, which have to be inserted into the fan before insertion into the hole, which is too small to accomodate the brackets (chicken and the egg). Had I realized the fan was meant to sit on top of the drywall, I wouldn't have wasted 2 hours, nor needed a second person to hold the fan from below while I figured out the install. The only problem to the fan sitting on top of the drywall is its possible to suck air (and attic insulation) under the fan flange - You didn't buy this thing to evacuate the attic. To remedy, I would cut the hole, put the fan on top, extend the brackets and lock with screws in position, then put duct tape on all 4 sides/flanges to seal any gaps between the fan and drywall.I hope this saves someone else a late night...

Quiet, efficient, no problems

This unit is quiet, as promised - you can barely hear it. My bathroom has never gotten foggy with it ON.It has interesting way of switching modes. Switch it on once, and you get blue light on it, which is the humid sensing mode, I believe. Switch it off/on again, and the light is amber, which is fixed operating power. The light is clearly visible, although not strong enough to double as a nightlight (which would be nice, given that the fan is so quiet). The contractor said they had a hard time installing it, even though I believe we have standard size and spacing beams. Don't know more about that.I've used it for about 6 months so far, and have no complaints. Recommend!

delta breeze fan

very quiet. The humistat seems to work fine. I like the simple interface (standard wall switch lets you select humistat mode or max fan speed). high efficiency motor seems good. Be careful selecting a product and be sure you calculate the expected back pressure so you know what flow you will get (not what's advertised by anybody). If I had it to do over, I might order the next size up to get the extra flow.
