I always wanted to try a PTZ camera with my DVR system but they were expensive. This one has the pan an the tilt but does not have the zoom which was fine for me. I just wanted to be able to move the camera around and check on my garage. Knowing this unit has no IR I placed a nightlight near to what I wanted to see. The picture is color and sharp near the light source and degrades as you move away from it but I can see the entire garage.I tested the unit on a Zmodo 8ch DVR and once the correct settings were entered the DVR was able to control the camera. I used the mobile app on both the Iphone and Droid to control the camera. At the DVR location I used the viewing software on the computer to control its movements.I then moved the unit to a Swann 8ch DVR. If you do this make sure you use the internet viewing sofware or mobile app software to control the camera. For some reason I could not get the DVR GUI to control the camera. Other than that issue the unit works fine with a Swann 8ch DVR as I only use the mobile app or internet app to control it.The unit has been in service for a week now and I have had no issues with it. Overall I am very happy with this unit. Expect to spend several hours to get it working if you never worked with a PTZ camera before. I followed the guide and purchased a separate power supply for the camera and you also have to run a separate wire for the camera controls in addition to the video and power cable. I used CAT5 network cable because that is what I had laying around.The only thing to make this product better is if Zmodo made some kind of bracket so this camera can be recessed mounted in the ceiling with just the dome part visible.

Awesome upgrade camera!

I have the Zmodo 8 channel DVR that came with 4 cameras.... really inexpensive IR cameras that have terrible color (known issue) but that were more than adequate for my purpose. But I did have a nice location where I wanted to mount a PTZ camera so I kept an eye on this one to go on sale and grabbed one.... just installed it yesterday and WOW, I love it! It is set for Dipswitch 1 and I was replacing camera 2, so I had to remove the cover and move one switch, everything else was automatic. Oh, and I am currently using the 4 port power switch that came with the DVR (ordering a solo power source now) but the camera works great even tho everyone warns ya to get a solo power source. As some people pointed out, you will need to run 2 additional wires (I just used telephone wiring) to control the PTZ, and since I had to run the new wire anyway, I decided to upgrade the video/power cable that came with it with 100' I got from Menards. First off, the upgraded cables make a huge difference - noticeable quality difference and no rolling lines and interference etc, so if I had to do it all again, I woulda started with upgraded cabling. But I was amazed at the low light capacity of this camera - with NO IR capability, I wasn't expecting anything at night, but just the ambient light from the street lights makes the sidewalk visible etc - while my stock IR camera is PITCH BLACK on the same area... It's not intended to be a night vision camera at all, so I was blown out of the water out of how good of a picture it gave me with ambient light only... the PTZ works with my DVR, computer and my iPad and iPhone... Color is good, range is good... I'm really happy with this upgrade to my system!

Nice camera and is working properly. If you don't need to zoom then it is the perfect camera to control small spaces.UPDATE:Using the camera in the afternoon and the light starts to fade you can get lots of white interference lines and at low light they get really bad at slow speed.

It Really Works

Once I installed this door, it took a few days for my dogs to get used to the fact that the door was not clear. Once they did, they had no issues using it. It has been very windy here in Dallas, and cold (for us). Even with that, I can stand next to the dog door and I can't even feel the cold. In the past, the old plastic dog door would get cold, it would harden, get stuck, and cold air would just pour in to my house, with this door, no longer! I highly recommend this door.

Best Pet Door Ever!

I purchased this door for my two 10-lbs Chihuahuas. I hired someone to install it, since I wanted it to go through the wall of our home onto the deck outside. I spoke with Brian at FreedomPetPass and he was very patient and answered all of my questions. After our phone call, I ordered the door and it was at my house three days later. Once it was installed, my two 10-pound Chihuahuas were a little skeptical at first, but within two days they seemed to warm up to it. They were already trained to use a doggy door, but the door they used was transparent, so I was a little concerned. I adjusted it to make it slightly easier for them to go in and out at first, but I put it back to full strength and they didn't even notice! They use their new door with no problem, and I am happy because the wind no longer blows the door open. What a wonderful product! Thank you so much.

Awesome

Awesome product. Bought it off of amazon for $100. With standard shipping it came in 3 days. Brand new right out of the box. Plugged it in, changed the resolution and restarted my system and it works amazing. Clear as day is the picture. Its lightweight, affordable, attractive, easy setup, no hassle. I'm using it for my Dell tower. Just running it through VGA. I used to have a 15 inch monitor from 10 years ago so this is definitely a step up. I'm not a gamer so i'm not worried about high definition or anything. I'm a musician and i do recording so i needed a widescreen monitor. This fits the bill perfectly. I definitely recommend one if you are looking for an affordable, reliable monitor. Plus it is mountable!Pros: Affordable, lightweight, sleek looking, easy setup, great picture qualityCons: For what I will be using it for there are no cons. To each his/her own.

Good for a secondary display

I bought this monitor for a secondary display. I'm rating it for that, because it doesn't support a very large resolution for gaming or anything of that sort. I use it to keep my messenger applications and the like on another monitor, and it is also useful for reading text that I can't quite see on my HDTV display. If you're looking for a reliable, bright, smallish secondary monitor, here's your deal.

Kahve Koffee's Cordoba Blend is the reason I get up in the morning

Since I switched to Kahve Koffee's brand of gourmet coffees, I now have a reason to look forward to waking up in the morning. Like a faithful alarm clock, the thought of getting up to make my coffee beckons me. I can't wait to grind the beans and start my morning brew. The taste and full body of this coffee is superb. It is rich, dark and flavorful but never bitter. I have never had a better more consistent cup of coffee. It is no wonder it is served in Boston's finest restaurants! Very reasonably priced for the high quality you get. I also tried and loved the Sumatran Viennese, Kahvé Sumatran Viennese Coffee Barcelona Blend Kahvé Barcelona Blend Coffee Italian Roast Kahvé Italian Roast Coffee Espresso Napoli Kahvé Espresso Napoli Coffee and several of their decafs, most notably the Decaf Danish Kahvé Decaf Danish Blend Coffee. I could not tell the difference between their decaf and a regular cup of coffee which is very hard to find. Just excellent coffee! Can't wait to try some of their other blends and single origins. I happen to personally favor darker roasts, but their lighter blends are just as flavorful and rich- I just add more of it to suit my taste. Now that I have been drinking Kahve's coffees, I am hooked for life!

Good beginner projector

We purchased the DG-747 projector to work with our Wii, VCR and laptop. The RCA connectors work great so the Wii and VCR are very compatible. I have an old Apple Powerbook G4 that I hoped would work with it but I've been unsuccessful getting the VGA (or HDMI inputs for that matter) to recognize a signal. The instructions manual is useless and a waste of a tree. I remedied the VGA problem by purchasing a VGA to RCA adapter from Sewell (SW-22050, this works well). The picture quality isn't too sharp with the adapter, but I'm relatively pleased considering my wife purchased a 480 x 240 Discovery Expedition Wonderwall Entertainment Projector that we immediately returned because it was bad... really bad. We've had fun playing the Wii and watching some movies. If this product's inputs had worked flawlessly, I'd give it a 5 out of 5. The sound quality is okay and the fan noise isn't even a bother, but since I had to do the VGA work-around and my experience with tech support was lacking, I give it a 3 out of 5. I'd definitely recommend it to a newbie like myself. It's been fun.

Great Starter Projector

It doesn't say on the page but this appears to be the Digital Galaxy 737. Overall I'm having a good feeling with mine. I custom built my own projector in the past, which gave mediocre quality and was huge, loud, and cumbersome. This unit definitely outperforms any DIY projector and is probably more practical economically.Pros: The unit claims 2000-2500 lumen's and I believe its pretty close. It throws an image over 100" at about 10-11ft and still looks very good respectful of distance. The bulb as I understand costs $38-40 which is very agreeable if you plan to do a lot of TV viewing or gaming. Keystoning is pretty straightforward. Internal speaker is quite nice too, but that's not why you'd buy it. Unless you're a movie buff, I wouldn't say you need a pitch black room to see the picture, its pretty decent in ambient 1pm draped windowed rooms.Cons: Yes it is LOUD. It maybe possible to replace the inner fan with something quieter, but I haven't cracked mine open yet to see. The plastic twist focus on the front lens is quite stiff, and you feel as if your going to break it. The image settings in the menu don't do very much at all for the picture, and switching inputs on the remote is a little unintuitive. The 800x600 resolution is a letdown if your a PC gamer like me, but ideally it is best for console video resolution. Also, be aware that HDMI-in does not equal HDMI-out on this unit since its merely pushing 800x600, it is a more convenient connector but that's about it, I really couldn't tell the difference between the HDMI input and the composite.Other Notes: I was unable to get an HDTV signal from a TIVAX ATSC converter box to the NTSC coax on the unit, it kept reporting no signal however it did work through the composite RCA connectors. Bottom line: This unit is great for those starting off with projectors and console gamers looking to save money.

Not as good as my previous projector

I am replacing a Toshiba DLP with this and I am considering buying a replacement bulb for my Toshiba.My wife complains about the picture being too bright and blurry. She keeps telling me to fix it.I do love having all the input options (HDMI, Component, S-Video, PC, Composite, Coaxial). However, I would have liked the PC out, to slave my monitor to the projector. Also for some reason the audio out is not working, but that could be just mine. When given the choice between the projector's sound and my surround sound the choice is obvious.There is no zoom out or in dial. You are forced to move the projector to make the picture fit your screen. This is a deal killer for me because the picture is so big and I had to rearrange my entire living room and it is still too big for my 100" screen. This makes me scoot the desk I had to place it on about 3 feet from the wall to make the picture only slightly too big.I miss my Toshiba so much. When this projector needs replaced, I am definitely going to do more research before buying.

I loved the idea of using this card with the dot to assist my yoga students in evaluating their stress levels. When I bought the cards, I did not see that the dots were sold separately. Had to purchase them in order to make the cards of value. Would be nice to sell together in a way that is more apparent.

Strut Compressor

Although this is not a top shelf product that will last for years in a full production susspension shop, it is a very well made unit and I fully expect it will last a lifetime in my shop where we do about 1 strut job a week. Well made and strong I am going to design a top spring clamp to retain the entire strut unit should something break. even the top shelf units costing $700.00 and up have one, the inexpensive one should also. I am very impressed for the price!

keep hitting the release pedal while compressing strut. Quick release pins would make adjustments of upper clamp quicker and a return spring on bottom mount would ensure complete retraction.

It performs like a name brand 85mm f/1.4 at a fraction the price. You must be proficient with manual focus to use this lens at f/1.4 (or be willing to learn).Review:The lens produces nice usable portraits from wide open. There is a pleasing softness too it, but the eyes appear nice and sharp and the bokeh transitions are smooth. Specular highlights in the bokeh are smooth and fairly uniform with minimal rings or donuts. The modern aspherical lens design takes care of most spherical aberration. I bought this lens solely for f/1.4-f/5.6 usage. If I want to use the f/4+ range I will use my f/4 zoom, so wide open performance of the 85mm was critical too me, otherwise it added nothing over my slower zoom. I would not be afraid to use this lens at f/1.4 for portraits.Wide open it does show a small amount of purple fringing around very high contrast subjects, but it almost has to be blown out next to a darker object for it to be noticeable. The lens also has your typical green/red chromatic aberrations (CA) visible in the bokeh, which I think is longitudinal CA. This is actually fairly typical of large aperture lenses, even good lenses. It is generally not intrusive. The lens is also a tad darker than my other 85mm lenses, maybe 1/3rd f/stop.Focus is critical at 85mm f/1.4 as the depth of field is shallow, and most dSLR focus screens are designed to focus for f/4. I think the one in my K-7 is a bit better but still doesn't show the true DOF at f/1.4, so it is impossible to focus totally precisely less than f/2 or so, but with practice you can get really close. Also, for slower subjects live view is useful. The focus feel of the lens is excellent with a heavily weighted focus ring that feels high quality.Lens construction is equivalent to any Canon L lens or Pentax DA*. It is a metal body at the base with a quality feeling plastic focus ring/upper body (this feels like the Plastic in DA* or Canon L lenses). The only part that feels cheap is the rear lens cap, the front lens cap, and the hood. At least they only cut costs with the non-critical items.This will make an excellent manual focus video lens too, because of the pleasing bokeh wide open and the shallow depth of field. This is one of the reasons I wanted the good bokeh wide open.Overall, this is a great lens for a superb price. The maker is Samyang, but it is sold under the Vivitar, Opteka, Bower, Rokinon, Polar, and other names. Image quality is supposedly the same between any make, but accessories might differ depending on what the brand wants to include with the lens. The Vivitar Series 1 lens has a slightly different look to it.

I had really never heard of this company or their lens until I happened upon a few web threads from various forums, specifically fredmiranda and dpreview.After seeing some amazing images posted from owners of pretty much every camera brand and seeing great bokeh and sharpness comparison shots, I knew I had to get one.Just got it today (April 13) and it's awesome, awesome, awesome, especially given the price.I'm using my lens on a D700.----OPTICS - Outstanding. Seriously. I started shooting this thing wide open at f/1.4 and it's just great. Before this lens, one of my more enjoyable lenses was the outstanding Nikon 105mm f/2.5 AI-S. I think this lens, though, beats it. It's a more comfortable length for me, and the build quality is pretty high - and the bokeh is just amazing.Did I say amazing? How about just delicious. Creamy, smooth, great transitions from focus to unfocused areas. It's great after some initial testing and already I have a shot of my young daughter that is frame-worthy (straight from the D700 using RAW and "normal" profile).BUILD QUALITY - Well, you don't get something for nothing, but you can come very close with this lens. It looks like it's a combination of heavy plastic and metal. The focus ring is of adequate size and mine has absolutely no play in it - damping is pretty good. And hurray for Nikon, Rokinon made the lens focus the "right" way, so that AF confirmation in your camera is going to match which way you actually need to turn the lens.The lens hood is probably the weakest part - it's pretty flimsy, cheap, falls off too easy and is hard to line up to reverse for storage. But hey, this thing is dirt cheap and gives amazing, inspiring results. A Sigma-type lens cap (pinch on edges, not center) and cheesy felt carrying bag round out the deal. I also don't like how thin the aperture ring is, but I don't plan on stopping down all that often, so it's of no concern and I think I'll get used to it (I'm used to my 105 AIS).If you have a Nikon body that will meter with AIS lenses (D300, D700 and up, maybe D200?), this lens deserves your attention. Don't be afraid of MF - it's not as easy as autofocus, but with practice it becomes pretty darn easy, especially with the AF confirmation and having a large viewfinder with D700+ camera models. Awesome lens.

Rokinon, Samyang, Vivitar, Opteka, etc.

I have the Rokinon version of this lens. It is great! I use it on a Nikon D700 and have compared it with the Nikon AF 85mm f/1.4 (which I had rented for a weekend to test) and I much prefer this lens to the Nikon.When I used the Nikon AF version, I found myself having to manually focus to get the plane of focus just where I wanted it and so decided I really didn't need to pay extra (almost a $1k more) for the AF feature. So the only thing that would make sense for paying more was if the Nikon's Image Quality was significantly better... it wasn't. In fact, at f/1.4 (which is where you will be shooting this lens 99% of the time, else why buy an f/1.4 lens) I found the Rokinon/Opteka to be sharper and have more contrast than the Nikon.There are a lot of reviews to be found on the inter-net for this lens. Some express concern for obtaining a good "copy". I am sure this lens is not as consistent in its build quality as Nikon is, but I got lucky right out of the chute with my first one. It is amazingly sharp, mechanically sound, and the IQ is just what I needed it to be (bokeh is wonderful).Bought mine through Amazon from Cameta Camera. Great store with quality customer service.For the price, you really can't go wrong.

Caribou Pulls a Fast One on Loyal Customers

I've been drinking Caribou Blend for years and it is just right for my taste... or at least it was. Got a new shipment in and I noticed a color change on the K-cup, orange to light green. Uh-oh, wrong product? I compared the box to my old one and found the same SKU number but the roast level has been dropped from medium to very light along with the color change. My taste test revealed exactly that... a mild, relatively tasteless coffee more like their dishwater Daybreak than the old Caribou blend. Caribou (I got this second hand) claims that their flagship blend is more of a light roast than a medium roast and they made the change accordingly. Yeah, sure. Nice try but we all know that the wholesale price of coffee has skyrocketed. Sounds to me, the skeptic, that perhaps they have been forced to switch to a cheaper coffee with less gusto and more bitterness to maintain their competitive price points. How sad. I would have gladly paid more for my favorite. The new blend is far inferior. If you're a regular, have someone brew both and I bet you'll have no problem distinguishing the difference. Time for a new favorite with a company that doesn't play sleazy tricks on its loyal customers. If and when prices return to normal, watch the return to the old orange based on "we listen to our customers" and more corporate-speak BS.

Truly disappoiting. Product Changed. Not for the better!

We have been buying Caribou Blend K-cups for a couple of years. It is a fine medium blend that we, and everyone that we have served it to, loves. We usually order it in larger quantities to try and save some money since we go through it fairly quickly. The last order we placed for 2 x 80 boxes was fulfilled with the K-cups with green color labels (the older labels were orange around the edges). The taste of this new k-cup can only be described as vile and has nothing to do with the former product. It is not drinkable. We have written to Caribou and have been waiting for a response, but nothing yet (I will update if I hear anything). DO NOT BUY this product if you have used the older product with he orange color on the label and liked it. You will not get the same thing and this coffee is truly terrible!Deserves 0 Stars...Update - a note from Caribou Corporate:Thank you for taking the time to contact us.We certainly apologize for any confusion. Recently the packaging for Caribou Blend K Cups did change. Previously the regular blend had an orange band and the decaf had a green band. The new labels the regular is a green band and the decaf is an orange band.The coffee itself has not changed, simply the label. There are two factors that might be involved in the change you taste. The change in taste is affected by the time that has lapsed between roasting the coffee beans and brewing them...freshness. Also, coffee is an agricultural crop that varies with weather and other environmental factors. Our Roastmasters put in a lot of time and attention to provide a consistency when roasting the coffee beans.We do apologize for any confusion and please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.Sincerely,LindaCaribou Coffee Customer RelationsThe coffee is Dramatically different, but they will not admit to the change. You won't be disappointed!

I did a lot of research before I purchased this product, was not disappointed!I live in Phoenix, and placed this unit on my shed to help take the edge off when the summer temperatures start getting over 100+ degrees. I have now had the unit installed for 4-months now and it is working like a champ. Temperature readings of the interior of the shed prior to solar fan install was +150 (so hot, closed containers of certain yard chemicals would over heat and either burst or overflow) now the temperature after solar fan installation is in the ~120 degree range, no longer having to clean up messes.The quality of the solar cell is by far the best I have seen in this price catagory - no warping, mounts easily and even functions on my black color shed roof - very durable aluminum frame and PV material is holding up very well (I was worried, because of the extreme heat and the black shed roof - working fine)I would recommend, and am considering purchasing a solar powered fan and panel kit for my whole house attic, will not consider anybody else's product after my experience with CDT solar fan for my shed.

5 Watt solar panel

The panel and fan work great for removing the hot air in my building. What I didn't like was the fact that electrical wire connecting the panel to the fan was not rated for outdoor use. This is an outdoor product, what's up with the maker? The cost for outdoor wiring couldn't be more than fifty cents .Mark
