Bad Extensible Handle Design

Update: I've gone from 1 star to 4 stars.After getting this bag repaired by Briggs and Riley I have not had a single thing to complain about.The new handle is slightly different in appearance, and I think that maybe they've changed either the design, suppliers or both.I'd have gone 5 stars with this but I'm in kind of a wait and see mode. Maybe later.Old Review:It's amazing that such a small thing like the extensible (or extending) handle can drop this bag to next to worthless.I acquired this case in October of last year, and have made 6 - 8 trips with it since then. It's light weight and has plenty of pockets and room to the point you could easily exceed the 50 pound airline limit if you're not careful.Generally I could love this bag if it wasn't for the cheap extendible handle which pulled right out of the bag at a most inopportune moment.Sure this has a lifetime warranty. But the case is too new for any of the repair centers in my city (5 million +) to have parts for. So.... It must be returned to Briggs & Riley for repair.If you travel infrequently, only travel with one bag or don't mind the inconvenience of shipping and waiting for repairs. Then maybe this would be a good choice.As for me, once I get this repaired it will be relegated to backup status since I won't be able to trust it to not break when I need it.I've gotten years out of supposedly lesser bags. I am greatly disappointed in this one.

Great case

Great bag. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Well designed and well made - plus it looks really good. It's light but sturdy. Used the expansion feature on a recent trip. Lifetime warranty so no worries if something does break. Highly recommended!

I purchased this piece of luggage for a trip to China. I took it to from the US to Shanghai and back. While in China, I traveled by train and it rolled beautifully and has quickly become my favorite piece of luggage ever! It was easy to maneuver; is quite sturdy and makes organization easy. I plan to purchase a smaller version for short trips in the US.
