Wonderful Product; Great Service

Let me start out by saying that the shipping for this product couldn't have been better. It was estimated to arrive Oct. 4th, showed up on the 3rd ahead of schedule with my other items. Some of the packaging was rough and a little beaten on arrival (not more so than one can expect), but the components of the throne are fairly heavy, and there was enough cushion and extra padding that everything was intact and in perfectly new condition.Now the throne is unbeatable. Most drummers that I have talked to seem to prefer the Roc-N-Soc throne to the Pork Pie thrones, but they have not tried this Gel Throne. This thing is memory foam for your butt. I am a decently sized guy 6' 1-2", ~200 lb., and I like to bop around and get really energetic when I drum. I move around a lot. My old throne would lose balance. The way it settled in, the metal was beginning to wear, and I didn't feel comfortable or, more importantly, safe drumming on that thing. Granted it had done me 6 years of service, which is more than what I expected from it. I looked, did my research, tried out some long jam sessions in different thrones. The Roc-N-Soc thrones didn't impress me much. I didn't enjoy the bicycle style throne, and most of the "regular" brands of thrones (e.g. Tama, Pearl, DW) just didn't do it for me.I can't say enough about this Pork Pie throne. I used to be stuck behind the kit for 30 minutes before I was sore. I can go for hours on this thing and not get tired at all. I might buy another one to use as a desk chair. It was the perfect height for me when I pulled it out of the box, so I am not sure about how flexible it truly is behind the kit, but as far as I can tell, it is adjustable enough to suit your needs.TL;DR Best throne I've ever bought, best service I have ever had. Recommended to all of the fellow drummers out there who need to be comfortable behind the kit.

wow! this throne meets all expectations, heavy duty base its sturdy you cant tilt on this.the price looks expensive but this is one of those things were "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"my butt has vever been so happy sitting on a throne till this pork pie came. im 5"8 and the heel of my foot is about half inch or less off the ground sitting on this at the lowest posible.if your fine playing like that this is for you.comfot wise this is like tempur pedic i play for hours and not even feel like standing up..

A little while ago I decided to buy myself some nice drum thrones for my two drum kits.I wanted something with a big comfortable seat that I could sit on for long drum sessions. It became a toss up between the Pork Pie Gel Throne and the ROC-N-SOC Nitro Throne. Since I needed two, I got them both. I've used them each quite extensively over the past year and I think they are both fantastic thrones and well worth the money.If I had to pick a winner though, I would choose the ROC-N-SOC. The contoured design allows me to remain comfortable for longer periods of time, though the Pork Pie is more comfortable for short sessions. It seems that the gel and padding gets sandwiched down after about 30 - 45 minutes or so. (FYI: I weigh 235lbs)
