The jacket has dual side vents, one of the most impressive aspects of this suit to me is the lining. It features a custom bespoke matching classic design which is normally only found on custom made bespoke suits. JACKET: CANVAS FRONT JACKET, Top Workmanship, 2 pockets with flaps, 2-button, dual side vents, single breasted closure and flap hip pockets. Not bad for the money

I purchased this suit knowing that it was not going to be an authentic Valentino and after receiving it I was pleasantly surprised by the material and workmanship. I am not a suit expert by any stretch of the imagination and I only wear suits on rare occasions but I have to say I did not find anything objectionable (especially for the price I paid). The suit although stated to be a modern Italian fit suit was more roomy than expected but most suits off the rack need a bit of tailoring to make them fit right so i wasn't bothered. My tailor was able to taper it in and now if fits perfectly.The lining in both the jacket and slacks was very comfortable and smooth to the touch. Plus, the material is very lightweight and drapes well. I can't say for sure if the jacket is fused or if it has horsehair but compared to an off the rack suit I bought from Macy's it has much better movement yet stays crisp in structure while not feeling stiff.I purchased two suits in the same size 38s and they were slightly different in the way they fit so I believe the QC is a little loose with these suits which could explain the price. If you have a good tailor you should be fine especially if you are looking for a suit you can wear daily without worrying too much about ruining it. It has a look and feel that belies its price. Suit connoisseurs need not apply. You'd probably be more critical especially if you have bespoke suits to compare to. This is a good basic suit for daily use that has a nice modern look and fit. The material is lightweight and comfortable and the suit is reasonably well constructed. There really is not much more to say other than give it a try and decide for yourself. My tailor didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary and he works with high end suits all the time. I asked him if he thought that the suit was cheap and he said that it was just as good as anything you can buy off the rack but also had some high end touches that you don't see in a sub $200 suit. Excellent value!!

For the Athletic Build

Great fabrics, much higher quality than your local retailers, both in terms of color and the feel of the fabrics.The reason I tried these, is that I am barrel chested, with wide shoulders, and American suits are both too big in the pants, and the shoulders bind badly in all the coats that I've tried. European / Italian cut suits have an 8" drop [the pants are 8" smaller than the jacket size] instead of the American 6" drop, so the pants fit properly. I don't know how the cut of the jacket differs, but the suit coats of American suits bind so that I can't reach forward, or they ride up to my ear when I reach forward, while these suits do not! Definitely a suit for the athletic build.

Just a word of warning first, I bought a number of suits in 42L, all fit me perfect except this one. It's defiantly not slim fitting like the picture. My tailor did say it is high quality and it does look very nice, so I have no complaints there. The pants fit me well also. I usually wear 33 or 34 waist. Nice suit just needed to spend another $55 at the tailor.
