Not so Nice

This is a very nice clock. It is great that the clock has a volume control knob because at full volume it is very loud. The chimes sound authentic. Easy to use and looks great on the wall. I do have one thing to say about the weights. They are not real. The chains hang from screws up in the clock interior. As far as looks you really can't tell a difference.Hold on...let me update...this clock stopped keeping time about 1 month after I got it. I replaced the batteries and tried everything I could to get it back working and it is still broken. I guess I will have to take it to a clock shop. It hung on my wall for the month period and was never touched. !!!!!!!ONE STAR!!!!!!!

This clock was delivered as promised.The "finsh and fit" of the clock is excellent. The chimes sound very good.I have previously owned old time grandfather clocks with weights and hammer chimes and also owned wind up regulator clocks.New clocks such as this one, with a battery operated quartz movement, the ability to turn off the chimes from after 11pm to 6 am, loudness adjustment, different styles of chimes, etc. are excellent improvements over the old clocks.You get the sound and the beauty of a chiming clock with none of the baloney, and these new clocks with their quartz movement even keep better time.Several other vendors offered similar clocks, with what I thought were vague descriptions of the types and frequency of chimes included, or chimes that only counted the hour.The price of this clock was very competitive, based on my research online, especially given the fact it was difficult to do an "apples to apples" comparison of features based on the vagueness of some other vendors offerings.I am very happy with this purchase.

This is the second pendulim clock I have purchased, True, there is no ticking sound, but the chimes make up for that. The case is excellent. Wood with a remarkable finish. It is heavy clock, but once hung and positioned correctly, I see no reason to have to fuss with it. Again, I recommend this clock.
