good stand

I ordered a couple of these stands for different brand of monitor's. It worked great for both and was easy to set up. Both WOMEN said the height was good and set them up themselves.

Compatibility and some design details disappoint

I have an HP Elitebook with the KP081UT advanced docking station, and this stand looked like the perfect solution for allowing me to mount my monitor (an HP 2509m) over the laptop to optimize desk space.The first problem I had was with the VESA mounting plate. The screws are standard 100mm VESA mount. But the plate is quite a bit larger than that at 130mm. This means that if the mounting holes on the back of your display are in recessed area, you're screwed because the plate probably won't fit. This is the problem I had with the HP 2509m. Now technically, this stand only supports 24" monitors and the 2509m is a 25" display. But as a 16:9 25" monitor, the 2509m is pretty much the same size and weight as a 16:10 24" monitor. So there's no reason for this limitation, it's just a poor design, and one that could very well affect other displays. Fortunately my other monitor is an EIZO with flush mounting holes on the back, so I was able to make things work by mounting the EIZO on this stand and using the EIZO's stand for the 2509.My other complaints are less serious, but still show some oversight in the design. Two of the mounting holes on the VESA plate are almost impossible to get to, because the stand's arm block access. Also, when the docking station is inserted into the stand, two of the USB ports on the rear right are almost blocked (you won't be able to use them for anything like a flash stick or dongle, only cables will fit).Other than those issues the stand works pretty well. If you have an HP docking station, nothing else I've found will work as well to allow you to mount the display directly over the laptop to save space on your desk.
