AEM Intake Systems are designed to produce massive horsepower and torque gains as well as better engine sound when used as a replacement for the factory airbox and air filter. AEM intake systems are designed tuned and dyno-tested to fit specific cars and trucks. These kits usually include an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for optimum air flow filtration and performance while allowing easy oil-free cleaning. Most AEM intake systems use mandrel-bent aluminum intake tubes powder coated heat shields and high quality hardware designed to reduce restriction and reduce intake temperature. The design and components of each intake system vary so consult the installation instructions for more information on the contents of each part number. A cold air intake system relocates the filter outside of the engine compartment to deliver cool air inlet temperatures. Tuning the inlet pipe in length and diameter to match the engine's resonance helps move more air to the cylinders (think of your engine as a big air pump) and this tuning allows us to deliver large power gains. Fantastic Intake System

Bought this AEM intake for my 06 Civic LX Coupe back in 2006, right when i bought the car new. It lasted me all the way til i sold it in 2012 and never gave me a problem. I cleaned the filter a few times, of course. But I loved it, it did give me a slight, but still noticeable power increase, and even helped my mileage by 1-2 mpg (i log my mpg every tank). But i mostly got it for the sound. My car was stock other than this, and i loved that it could sound quiet at low rpms, but then up in the VTEC range it had a nice growl to it.I've owned a bunch of different intakes for a bunch of different cars. This one is very well built and designed. I highly recommend it
