1Corrupts your drive, and OCZ has stalled for 9 months
By Jon E Watte
I bought one of these as an early adopter, for almost $700, and also a X58 based Gigabyte motherboard. It is fast, and I could install Windows 7 x64 to boot from the device -- so far, alright. However, the drive often will come up "corrupted" when booting into Windows, and the NTFS file system check needs to be run, which repairs some files, and removes or corrupts others.Once, my Steam install got corrupted bad enough I had to nuke the directory and re-install everything. This should happen because NTFS is a journalling file system -- but it does happen, apparently because the RevoDrive "lies" to the OS and says things are written permanently when they're actually just in cache, and then it doesn't manage to commit to flash before Windows cuts the power.Performancs is great! However, performance means nothing, if the device doesn't do its base function: reliable store and retrieve your data!I've been exceedingly patient with OCZ, trying all kinds of work-arounds, BIOS updates, drivers, and registry/control panel hacks over the last 9+ months, but nothing works. At this point, I'm hoping I can get some money back for this device -- I'll go with a traditional SATA 3 drive instead. Almost as fast, and certainly a lot more robust!

4RevoDrive SSD
By theod10
If you are using this as a boot drive, there is a process to get it to work...that is...if you run multiple hard drives...if you run a RAID array (which I never have) it could be a little difficult, but i'm sure if you can run RAID you can probably figure it out. Nice speed, will benchmark soon...runs a 7.9 on windows experience index of course...they do have the revodrive X2...speeds are 50% higher cost WAS only 30% more...I am probably in the middle level of experience when it comes to computers, so this SSD taught me a few things ;)

5Unbelievable! Works great with many different configs...
By JoeyGoSki
I LOVE these cards. They are easily recognized by Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 (upon installing the drivers). If you want one to be your boot drive, make sure you download the drivers first, so that Windows setup can use the driver to install the OS. I bought a 240GB and two 120GB cards. No problems with either and...they are FAST. I do high-end database work and greatly need drive speed. I'm now accessing data 3X faster than with my old 14-drive, 7200RPM, SCSI3, outright NOISY drive array. And...they are MUCH more reliable than spindle drives (thus far), use less than 1/20th the power of my RAID box, and they fit in my case. I save 4U's of rack space (or a huge amount of desktop space). Add to all that...they're greener and use less costly energy than RAID boxes.
