Saved us money on hard to find item

Our local RV supplier was unable to find this part as it has been discontinued from the dealer. This small part kept us from having to replace the whole jack and motor and saved us at least $500.00.

I found these while searching for a solution to my landing gear not working. All the web sites were telling me that I had to replace the whole jack system at a cost of $400.00 to $700.00 dollars. After finding two different size gear kits on Amazon, I disassembled the one broken side, counted the teeth on my jack and purchased the kit with the proper gears. They are the same gears that where in my jack and even have the same casting stamp on the bottom.

Exact replacement part

These gears were the correct replacement parts. There was a minor installation problem. The gears had been plated with a coating of some sort that decreased the diameter of the hole through one of the gears. It would not fit onto the shaft properly. A few minutes with a small round file corrected that problem and the rest of the installation was easy.
