Laces do nothing

I purchased these boots because I have athletic calves and thought that the lacing in the back could be adjusted. This was a wrong assumption. The lacing is purely decorative so the boots went back. Overall, these boots will fit ladies who have 15 to 16 inch calves. Although made in China, the quality is good and these boots are a bargain at around $200. Fit is true to size.
