Fantastic
By John S. Dean
I needed a decent case for when I built myself a new Windows Home server. My previous HP desktop I converted into a home server was running out of disk space (amazing how 9 terabytes can be "not enough" anymore!) and I wanted something I could do internal drives only on for the time being.Looking at the choices out there for something small (didn't want a huge server case where I keep this in the basement) but still having space for 6 drives internally was a challenge. I came across this one and other forums had good reviews, so I figured I'd get it.Both sides come off via 8 screws, one in each corner and one in the middle of each edge. There's a permanent four drive bay cage inside, with a screw on addition that goes underneath it for two more drives. There's space on top still for either a smaller drive, such as an SSD, or a full sized CD Rom.The power button glows blue with concentric circles that's reminiscent of the whorls of a fingerprint, and the smaller button under that, the reset button, has red triangles in it that light for drive activity. The front fan glows with blue light, something I wouldn't have liked had it been where i would see it, but since it sits headless in my basement it's not a big deal. Probably could've just cut some wires but there was no way short of permanently disabling them to "turn it off" since it's wired right off the fan.I used a small Atom D510 based board that had 6 SATA connectors, and it worked great, so I have 12 TB now for my storage for my media server. Fans are incredibly quiet considering their size (one in the middle and one on the top).Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the case is just a little too narrow for good cable management, so the power cables and SATA cables coming out of the drives are forced to be "squeezed down" more than I would've wanted to normally. If you get this, try to get SATA cables that have the right angle bend so it's easier to fit.Unit is pretty light too, at least until the power supply and all the drives go in it.Very easy to get the board in, the instructions are poor, but if you've ever dealt with a case you won't need them anyway.Definitely worth it if you're looking for something with space for drives. And it has two expansion slots as well.Standard power supply mounting, it has a bracket that you screw to the power supply, then the power supply just screws in with two large thumbscrews, makes it easy to install the PS. Not as solid there though, there's some wiggling of the back of the case if you press on the power supply. But since in normal use nobody will be touching it, no big deal.

Simply a quality product. This is my second Lian-li case. Love the quality construction. Easy to access and install components. Well ventilated. Just the right size. I look forward to more Lian-Li cases for future computer builds.

Nice case.

Product is put together nicely and for as compact as it is, decently modular. I did have to shave the PSU area slightly to enlarge it to fit my standard size PSU, but other than that, works well.
