This product is not gimick like the MANY others I have tried. We work in outback areas with helicopter fighting Wildfires and this unit will take marginal signal and increase to usable level. Many times phone without booster has no data capabilities and with booster 3g. I highly reccommend. We have 4 units now.

Works well - Nice dbm gain

Bought this unit with the Home/Office accessory kit for use at work with Verizon Galaxy Nexus.Have very poor signal in government building, so bought this unit to improve overall signal strength, but mainly 4G (LTE).The Good - Unit is quick to set up, doubled signal bar strength and increased 4G speed by placing the antenna by a window and base on desk. Plug in, test for best signal for antenna placement, put phone in cradle. DoneThe Bad - Mounting your phone on the cradle is easy however; you may discover that your phone gets a better increase in signal if you modify the cradle. I was not able to slide my phone down enough to optimize boost due to the feet that support the bottom of the phone are non-adjustable (big mistake) so if your phone benefits sitting lower in the cradle as mine does you will have to modify unit or just get what boost it gives you. All phones are not equal so you may not have this issue – but with my Nexus, 1.25 inches below the bottom of the feet gave me another 10 dbm gain. Make sure you use the dbm figure and not the bar count for signal increase

I work in a huge metal framed tin can of a building and was always having problems connecting to the internet on my laptop. If not sloshing through slow data speeds, I was losing singnal altogether. Unless I was situated close to the side of the building, I never knew what, if any kind of signal I was going to be able to pull down. Using the Wilson booster on my Verizon JetPack is like night and day. I have gone from one weak bar to at least three strong bars anywhere inside the building. If you are planning on using it outside of your car it does come with a usb power cord which you can plug into your computer but I prefer to run it off it's own power supply - also available on Amazon $16.95. As someone else mentioned in their review, you can also purchase a seperate mini USB charging adapter which connects the JetPack into the booster and keeps it charged. Yeah, it's a lot of wires and takes a few minutes to set up, but it's definitely worth it if you are suffering with weak signal issues. The JetPack slides into the holder as though they were made for each other and the antenna is equipped with a strong magnetic base to keep it in place.
