Good all-around binocs

Pretty good binoculars. I wanted something reasonably rugged, good for people with glasses, and affordable. I found it with the Kruger Kalaharis. 8x30 isn't a whole lot of magnification, but it's enough to do wildlife spotting in the many national parks in Utah. The binocs are fairly bright, compact and easy to take with you, and work pretty well when you're wearing glasses. Just don't expect amazing resolution or fantastic viewing of birds from more than ~100 yards.

Excellent value, water/fog proof, bak4 prisms, compact and light

These blew away a pair of 7x35's that I was using previously. Clearer, brighter in a more compact frame and much much lighter too.I love that they are also waterproof and have bak4 prisms inside.Initially, I was worried about buying these as I could not find a single review online, but I'm glad I did (when Amazon had them for a big % off). I bought two additional pairs after testing the first one for our summer trip to Alaska.Also, if you are a eyeglass wearer, make sure you get a pair that have long eye relief like these binoculars.Excellent value.
