Magnificent Sunglasses

I'm blind in one eye and have owned several pairs of high-end sunglasses over the years, including Serengeti, Ray Ban and Maui Jim. Fifteen years ago I bought my first pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, the Kahuna style, and wore them seven years until they flew out of my pocket and broke while riding my motorcycle one afternoon. Maui Jim offered to repair them to like-new condition for $70, but I opted to purchase another pair. Second pair were sports-oriented, all plastic and very light, but didn't fit well with my usage. Still, they were a good pair that I wore for years until I accidentally broke one of the lenses.I tried a pair of these Honolua Bay glasses only because my wife encouraged me to do so. I thought they were too expensive, even though I've always thought Maui Jim had the best optics.This is the best pair of sunglasses I can imagine owning. They fit perfectly, hold my head like a glove without squeezing me because of their shape, and are so light I often forget I'm wearing them. The titanium alloy frames are, in my opinion, worth the price. At the very least, they are worth trying. Go to a Sunglass Hut or Solstice and try them. That much is free.I've worn them for a year, and still think they are ideal. A close friend who wore and was loyal to Oakley sunglasses would spar with me about who had the best sunglasses. One day he went to Maui on a business trip, and on a lark because he was in Maui, went to a Maui Jim store and tried on a pair of their best sunglasses. He came home with these glasses.Really fantastic sunglasses.

These sunglasses work so well for me and are the best pair of glasses I have ever owned. I'm debating whether to buy another pair just in case they discontinue this style!The best part of these sunglasses are that they stay on my nose and grip well to my face because of the flexibility of the frame (only in the part of the ears--there are no frames around the lens). I can be as active as I want without the glasses moving off my nose or my face. It is incredible!The lens are polarized so they give my eyes good protection. They work both well during the day and at night. I have worn them indoors while watching a theater performance that had bright lights that were too strenuous on my eyes.A negative (which isn't really a negative) is that the glasses are light in color so people will be able to see your eyes while talking/looking at you. However, despite the lightness in color, the sunglasses perform better than most dark glasses I have used/owned. These glasses come in a darker shade of blue for those that prefer a darker color.The glasses come with a protective case with a cleaning cloth to clean the lens of the glasses. I have owned these glasses for a year and they are still in perfect condition. I have worn these glasses to/from work and while traveling numerous times domestically and internationally. I have even dropped these glasses and they have no scratches yet.Great pair of sunglasses. They are expensive but definitely a good investment.
