Product Description
The 8-Port 10/100Mbps PoE Switch; model TPE-S80; reduces equipment and installation costs by delivering data and power over existing Ethernet cables to Power over Ethernet (PoE) enabled devices such as Access Points and IP Cameras. Boost office efficiency and reduce network congestion with a total switching capacity of 1.6Gbps. LED indicators display device status for easy power management and troubleshooting. An internal power supply reduces clutter and delivers 15.4 Watts to each PoE port. A convenient on/off button is located on the back of the switch. Non-PoE devices can connect to the switch-auto-sensing PoE technology cuts power to non-PoE connected devices. Use TRENDnet's PoE Splitter with the TPE-S80 to install non-PoE devices in remote locations.

One of a Kind

If you look for PoE switches you'll find a ton of 8 port switches that only have 4 ports of PoE! After a bunch of searching I found this unit which is the only 8 port unit I could find where all 8 ports were PoE capable.The switch is very well constructed, made out of a heavy gauge metal and it comes with extension ears so it can be rack mounted. The power supply is internal, so a standard IEC-13 cable does the trick, no wall warts! It's an unmanaged switch, so nothing to configure. Just a PoE and a Link/Activity light per port.This was clearly designed for small installs of PoE security cameras or VoIP phones and in that role it fits perfectly, and is really one of very few options.The only down side to the unit is the fan is loud. I would not want to work in the same room as this switch, it's a fan designed for a machine room.

These can actually power a PoE device on every port unlike most PoE switches. My cameras need about 12 watts each and a lot of switches only have a "Total of 30 watts" even though they have 4 or 8 PoE ports.

This is a real plug and play no installation need it, works with all devices, and works better when the devices you want to plug in are POE... I totally recommend this product
