Wonderful toy for toddlers and preschoolers

I purchased this toy for my baby's first birthday and it has been a hit with him and with his almost four year old brother. Occasionally my six year old even plays with it as well. It has three different levels with various games and rhymes and it can be used in either English or Spanish. It teaches colors, animals and animal sounds and it will also teach some simple rhymes. The LED screen is great. This is a really fun, interactive toy. If you're looking for a toy that inspires a lot of imagination this isn't it, but if you're looking for a great educational toy this is a wonderful choice.

Very cool, but too complex for 1 year old

My son was given this for his 1st birthday. He loves playing with it, so I want to give it a 5! However as a Mom I think it's too complex for a 1 year old.He's now nearly 18 months and he's naturally drawn to all the buttons with lights behind them, which are those that change the levels (1,2,3) and those that change the language between English and Spanish. Every time one of these are pushed a song is sung. Each song is nearly 15 sec long (I timed it) and the songs are unable to be interrupted by pushing any of the animals, but can be interrupted by pushing a level or language button. So what ends up happening is he just continuously pushes these buttons and doesn't get to push any of the animals as he's not patient enough to wait the 15 secs for the song to finish. 15 secs doesn't sound that long, but if you count it out you'll see that it's a long time for a 1 year old to wait. My son loves pushing the lit buttons to see the cause & effect of getting the music to play, but currently doesn't get much educational value out of it, i.e. learning the animals and their sounds, when he plays with it himself.I love that it has levels as the child grows and I love that it's bilingual, I just wish these buttons were on the back so that an adult could adjust them rather than them being on the front for a young child to touch, or at least light up the animals buttons instead of the levels and language buttons, so the child is more drawn to the animals than the other buttons. I also would recommend removing the songs or make it possible to skip/interrupt them by pushing the animals.OVERALL: My son loves playing with it and I love the idea of it, just with a few changes. Maybe it is just my son and other kids have more patience. If I was looking to buy a digital farmyard for a 1 year old, I'd probably look for something more simple. If I was buying one for an older child this could be great.Here are the 3 levels:LEVEL 1: Learn the animals - press an animal and it says the name, color and sound of the animalLEVEL 2: Find the? - says the color and name of animal or the animal sound and you have to press corresponding animalLEVEL 3: Stories - push an animal and it narrates a short story about the animal

Bought this for my 20 month old grand daughter for Christmas! She is enjoing it very much! I would definitely recommend this as it is both fun and educational!
