Great product, not installer friendly

I bought this to replace one of my cheap, noisy 688 fans that was wearing out. It's well built and is very quiet as claimed. Even though my duct work has an elbow at the housing. Which they say is a no no. It is not an easy install for replacement. They claim it will work on joists of 24" centers but the brackets are to short unless the housing is at-least 4" away from one joist. If your not a good handy man I don't recommend this fan for replacement. Also the name plate rating is 9 watts and not 7 as stated in the specs. Still a very energy efficient unit.

Love the fan and it does a great job but have to disagree on the comments about the fan being so quiet you will forget to turn it off or that you cant even hear it. The fan is quiet but not that quiet. I give the fan 4 stars because i actually feel as if it is a bit louder than i expected for a 0.3 Sone fan. Great fan and dont regret the purchase at all but based on all the reviews of the Delta Breez series i expected less noise. Still quiet just greatly exagerated on noise level by some reviewers is all. I still highly recommend the fan just dont purchase it if you expect TOTAL SILENCE in a fan.

Quietest fan ever

This Delta Breeze bathroom Fan is the quietest bathroom fan that I've experienced in a long time. Really, so quiet that you can forget to turn it off, not even a hum. Went from a 4.0 sones fan to a .3 sone fan and it's beautiful. Installation was quite easy and the housing unit and cover are actually very nice looking. I highly recommend, worth every penny.
