Awesome
By Sean Kennedy
This works great! Quiet, powerful and pays for itself. Even when it's not running it works because it's a vent for extreme heat to escape. Must get the thermostat with it though. Easy to install with the right tools. The thermostat regulates it so you don't have to be there to turn a switch. Best part is that it uses the the sun for free energy!

Worth every penny
By Jonathan Talan
Since i bough this and had it installed in the Fall i'll have to update when thing get warmer.I was replacing my roof so i had the roofers install it.We did have a couple of hot day before winter kicked in. So i went up into the attic to see if it was working and as soon as i opened the hatch to the attack a "rush" of air came by me, indicating it was doing it's job. I'll have to see if it makes any difference in the summer when the upstairs used to get very warm.YR1 Review - So last summer i notice a real difference in the upstairs temperature. I used to have to keep the ceiling fans on all day but now i didn't need too. BTW someone ask about sq/ft , my total home is 3277 sq/ftYr2 Review - Just checking into say it still seem to be doing it's job. The fan is moving air and the upstairs isn't as stuffy as it used to be, so happy we did this.

Works great!

Unfortunately, I didn't take any baseline temperature readings but my 2000 sq. ft. home feels cooler and my air conditioner seems to run less. On really hot days, I could literally smell the attic from my first floor and the air conditioner could not keep up with the heat. I have not had these issues since installing this fan. My attic is vented along the ridge but apparently hot air can use some help rising. The fan was easy to install (after buying a new reciprocating saw). My only complaint is that only three of the six screws holes used to attach the fan to the roof are visible after sliding the fan into place and there is nothing in the installation guide saying what to do in this case. I just left the screws out.Keep in mind that this fan is big and will stick out like a sore thumb on a small roof.I would also like a backup power source for cloudy days and when the fan falls under the shadow of the trees above my house around 4 PM.
