4WORKS FABULOUSLY WELL
By Tim Devlin
Only downside for me was my steel clad door had a 1.5 inch hole and the lock needs 2.125" hole. !CONUNDRUM! Searching the web I discovered a few potential solutions. The most ridiculous (thought it would likely work with space and jigs) is remove the door and put it on a drill press. Not many have a shop an/or press with capacity for this. Anyway, the solution that worked for me was to mount a 1.5" hole saw inside and protruding slightly from a 2.125" hole saw.Once the hole was right sized the installation was effortless.Operation:Note that some of the electronic locks actually operate the bolt. This one only engages the bolt so that it can be turned in and out for about 5 seconds. I presume this will greatly lengthen the longevity of the battery. Conclusion:We no longer carry a door key. We have a garage door that can be opened with a code so we aren't worried about the battery going dead. The convenience of this lock is impressive. My wife loves it.
