Great time piece

Great watch, water proof and accurate. I had to replace the band to rubber. The hard plastic band is too hard. Other than that, good looking watch for the money. I'm proud of my new watch.

Great Diver

After buying two Orient watches, this is my first Seiko dive watch.So far I am very pleased with my purchase. With small wrists, I was nervous that the rubber dive band would be too big and have extra band sticking out the back looking funny. Right now I keep it on the second to the last band hole and it only sticks out about a half inch. I read several reviews about the band being "too hard" and was expecting a really uncomfortable band, however the band is very flexible with the S-wave design in it and it conforms to your wrist shape, making it very comfortable.One of the best things about this watch is the "lume" or glow of the hands and hour markings. I've heard of the legendary Seiko lume, and this one holds up to its legacy. After being in the sun, walking inside will make your arm look like a glowing nuclear reactor. It's really that bright compared to other watches. I am very impressed. After being fully charged during the day, the lume also lasts into the wee hours of the morning with a dim glow but not too bright to prevent you from sleeping.The bezel on this watch is interesting. It clicks every half minute and is very easy to rotate, which is great. I would have preferred one click every minute, but not a huge deal breaker. It is a fully stainless steel bezel, which makes it stand out from the other Seiko models with the black plastic insert, making it rather unique.The crown was a huge reason why I purchased this watch. It's located at the 4:00 position making it very comfortable. The screw-down crown feature is great for those who dive because it prevents the crown from accidentally coming out. The day/date indicator is also very attractive. Being black with white font, it goes great with the black dial of the watch.Overall one of my best purchases and will be occupying a lot of wrist time.

For the price, this watch is a great bargain.PROS:- Nice steel case.- Clear, good looking dial. Polished metal surrounds of hour markers are nice.- Tough 7S26 automatic movement.- Lots of information about modding the watch if you don't like the looks.- Day and date display (white text on black background).- Nice 120 click, uni-directional bezel. Minute marks and numerals are etched into the bezel, not just paint.- Seiko quality.CONS:- The included rubber band is pretty stiff. I swapped it for a nylon Zulu strap the first day. Would have helped if the case had drilled lug holes for easier strap swapping.- Also, the sides of the watch are polished, which is a little "blingy" for a dive watch, but a few careful minutes with a Scotch Brite pad took care of that. You could also have a professional watch maker take the watch apart and give the entire thing a brushed or bead blasted finish.A great watch (full stop). But at this price, it's also a terrific bargain.
