I bought two of these - one for me and one for my wife. They have a cable that secures the safe to the bed, car seat frame, etc. The finger print scanner was easy to set up and is very reliable. It uses 4 AA batteries and has a warning when the batteries get low. Using the key is a bit awkward but I don't plan to need the key. While its true that someone could get into it if they really wanted to, it would not be an easy task. The purpose of this safe is to keep curious kids away and be easy to access when necessary - not be Fort Knox. It works great for that purpose.

If you have children in the house and want to keep a firearm this is a must have. I have 2. They secure to the frame on your bed so they stay secure under your bed are super easy to program and gain access. I had a finger safe with the combination access not even a close match. The bio box is immediatey accessible even in the complete dark

I would recommend it, and have to my friends.... It is by no means a "Safe"....But is a great "lock" to keep the curious, or the kids away from your firearm. Yet still giving you a safe way to keep it "at the ready" and quickly accessed it if necessary... The scan can be finicky. My answer was to log three different fingers, and each one a couple times... Scan fast, that's seems to work best... Was a Great Buy for me, and perfect for my needs...
