Interesting innovation, magnetic attachments
By mwalsh23
Like any avid Colorado cyclist, I am constantly struggling with how to carry as little gear as possible but still have all the right layers for the varied conditions I experience. While you'll certainly never see any professional tour riders with a jacket of this type, for those of us who like long rides in the mountains, charity centuries, or general cycle touring, the magnetic sleeve attachments are a very interesting innovation.PROS:The sleeves are incredibly easy to take on and off while riding. The zip rear pocket is perfect to stuff the sleeves in. Once rolled up, the jacket is as small as any water/ wind resistant jacket I've ever used. The sleeves are long and the tail extends over your rear.CONS:Fit. It's designed to fit over layers, and at 6'1" I'm on the thin side. Still, I am NOT a small. The medium is loose and flaps in the wind. The only other negative is that the magnetic attachments are not as wind resistant as zip off sleeves.CONCLUSION:I really like this jacket. The trade-off of easy on/ off sleeves makes me fine with the fact that a little more air gets through the voids between the magnets. I've worn/ carried this jacket on days when the temps ranged from 45-90 degrees and was really happy to have it.

Few small issues...but overall very nice jacket!
By rhuang86
Ive had the jacket for a few months now and so far it works really well.USE:-While road cycling-Occasionally worn when Im out running an errand or around the housePROS:-The jacket is very versatile. The magnets make sleeve very easy to take off.-I got caught in the rain about 2 miles from home when I was cycling. When I rode home, the T-shirt underneath my jacket was still 95% dry. I check the jacket and it had visible beading of the water. Im sure though...that if I was out there for another 30min...it might have soaked straight through.-the fabric is very thin and and easy to pack.-Ive been using this jacket when the temperature is anywhere between 45-60F. The jacket kept me warm. There were cases where it was cold when I first started...but the jacket kept the heat in and help me warm up.-Olympian Blue was actually brighter than I thought. I wanted a jacket that made me visible to drivers. So far the reflectors and the Olympian Blue has kept me out of trouble. The Blue is also not obnoxious. I wear it out on a normal day when Im running errands and still look normal.(I think. hehe.)CONS:-Magnets does make it easy to remove the sleeves, but I still find it difficult to take it off while I am still on the bike riding. Did it a couple of times cycling on the trail...almost fell.-Magnets make this jacket heavier than I expect it...but unless if you are a pro, I dont think its that big of a deal.-I got this jacket when it was on sale...but I would not buy this jacket at MSRP. Not worth it.

Best multisport jacket I've ever purchased
By John Nguyen
I do running, biking, lifting and martial arts. This jacket has been better than any of my previous jackets specifically purchased for those sports. It's fairly lightweight compared to most running jackets. It's not the lightest due to the magnets, but you carry the magnets up high on your chest area so it doesn't feel heavy.I don't use the convertible feature very much, but when I do oh man what a life saver. It's ridiculously more breatheable than any other jacket I have, even expensive Adidas basketball warmup jackets with dedicated mesh armpits. At the same time its very wind resistant. For running, a short sleeve tech shirt under this and you're good. For biking, a light long sleeve tech shirt under this and you're good. I've run through rain and it's near water proof. Just slap the jacket a few times when you get indoors and ta-da, all the beaded water just flies off.The fit is also very flattering if you have an athletic build, but not flamboyantly over-the-top "look at how cut I am" flattering. It reveals your general lines well but isn't the least bit restrictive. I don't like the picture they used for this amazon display. I wear the jacket with the collar zipper all the way up, and the "doubled up" standup collar looks great. Perfect height where it doesn't hit your chin and restrict/irritate you but just high enough to block wind. You also look futuristic military-dignified cool with the standup collar. Like Captain Picard.
