the optimal size for calligraphy on 8.5 x 11

I bought the larger size of this light box, then bought this size for use away from home. If, like me, you are using this product for calligraphy, or other work, on media sizes up to U. S. letter (8.5 x 11 inch) size, then this is the perfect product for it. Do not buy the larger size unless you need larger than 8.5 x 11 paper. A piece of U. S. bond paper will fit just within the case of this 6x9 box, with just enough space to tape down a template of that size, for instance, and the lighted area will illuminate a work area within the 8.5 x 11 paper with margins of 1.25 inches left and right, and 1" top to bottom. This box is the one perfect size for what I'm doing. But both light boxes work goooooood!!! The light is strong enough to get through my guideline sheet and my work sheet, no problem, using either Clairefontaine or Rhodia papers--two sheets, clear as you could hope, no problem. It does the trick for me.

I have an older floresent light box. This lightpad is easer to use, easer on my eyes , its slim profile eases arm/hand fatigue. All around great product ! Worth the money !

Deceptive description

All other models of light box are described with dimensions being the working surface. Be careful of this one - it is a 6x9, not 8.5 x 11.5. After 2 returns we are buying a different unit with customer pictures showing the size listed is accurate.
