Very Effective

We purchased this heater to go with a large cabin tent. Since larger tents tend to be colder (not retaining your body heat) we were worried about being too cold at night, especially with two young children.This heater starts easily with the built in igniter. This was important to me because I wanted to be able to change the tank and re-start it in the middle of the night with no trouble. They say not to use it while sleeping but we took extra precautions to make sure we had good ventilation and nothing nearby that was flammable.We found the high setting the most useful. It burns through a single 16 oz propane cylinder in 6-7 hours, perfect for an overnight. This can get kind of expensive, so I recommend pairing this heater with an adapter to refill the 16 oz canisters from a 20 lb BBQ tank. That makes each can cost about $0.75 instead of $3.50. Plan on using at least one canister per day of camping.Another tip: it is best to try it out before camping so that you can burn off any excess chemicals from the manufacturing process. That way it doesn't stink up your tent the first time you use it.

The version that includes the InstaStart function seems to have been discontinued and sold out everywhere online. So I'm very pleased to have finally found this heater with the InstaStart function! I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I'll report back when I do.
