Great Home Theater PC

Home theater PCs are a must-have for techies out there. I bought this one knowing that I would be hooking it up right away and using it a lot. Though this hasn't replaced my need for cable, it is still a great buy. Since this did not have an OS, I planned on installing XBMC (xbox media center- an open source program/operating system that will run on every platform and organize your media), however, I had some problems with getting the drivers for HDMI correctly installed to linux, so I installed windows XP instead (my problems are due to me, not linux). From there, I installed XBMC, and I have a great media center with well organized media. Additionally, since I installed windows, I have no problem going online to visit netflix, hulu, and youtube. This box is a great buy for the money and is a better alternative than trying to hook up your regular use laptop that doesn't have an HDMI output on it. This device is great and works fine for media viewing. If you are trying to play games on it, you may run into problems, but as long as you use it for what it is intended to be, you should be satisfied with performance!
