Awesome saddle!
By S. Hamilton
You can't beat this saddle for comfort for both horse and rider, attractiveness, weight, and overall value. I received this as a Christmas gift, and I absolutely love it! My horse loves the fact that it moves with her when she breathes, and I love that I can feel what my greenbroke horse is going to do almost before she even does it. LOVE IT!!!

Nothing better anywhere near this price
By T. L. Burger
I bought this saddle to replace my heavy leather australian stock saddle because I bought a Haflinger that is too wide and short backed for my first aussie. I wanted something lighter, synthetic for endurance riding, and closer contact than a stock saddle. It also needed to be wide enough for my Halfie and short enough to fit on her back. This saddle is everything I asked for. I thought for sure I was going to spend at least $500 for what I wanted so I was delighted to find a $200 price tag!Pros:lightweight, close contact, dressage style billets, very well made, comfortable (or will be once it is broken in), fits well on my hard to fit Haflinger, love the webbed leathers, suede seat really does a good job of keeping me secure in the saddlecons:will need some breaking in as the sides of the seat dig into my inner leg somewhat. I shortened my stirrups and that helped. Think it'll just take getting used to and learning how to sit in this saddle. Also I'm not crazy about the stirrups that came with it (mine came with lightweight poly stirrups). I'll probably replace them with a little heavier stirrups at some point. That's it, no other negatives.*update after 2 weeks of riding* The sides where it dug into my legs are already broken in. I still am not nuts about the stirrups. My horse seems much lighter and happier in this saddle. She was girthy when we received it and has completely stopped fussing about the girth now. The neoprene girth that came with is wonderful.I am planning to save up to upgrade to the Kimberly Lite Rider at some point. When I do I'll go to Down Under to get it! Their customer service is awesome, they were super helpful in picking the right saddle for me and my horse!

A good value
By Abby B.
I was pleasantly surprised by my first ride in this saddle. I have ridden other Aussie saddles, but this one was the best so far. The seat is deep and feels fairly soft. It has give and take. The underside of the saddle is cushion like as well, so it moulds to the shape of my horse. The leathers are nylon and so far, no bruises on my legs. They seem to work fine and stay out of the way. Four stars because my saddle came with small plastic stirrups which I replaced immediately with irons. I use an all purpose or dressage pad with this and it works fine. A thin western saddle blanket with a little texture works great and looks nice too. The quality and appearance of this saddle is really nice for this price range. I am using it as a training saddle for my green broke two and three year olds and they seem to be comfortable with the 22" dressage style girth and the way the saddle fits. I like it because it feels secure during training.
