We go through a lot of this for my elderly mother in law. Product works great for making her liquids safer to drink.

My mother can not swallow normally due to Alzheimer's. Without Thick It, she would be on a feeding tube. I have all of her meals figured so that I know exactly how much Thick It to use for any given meal. If you don't get the right consistancy for the individual patient you can still have choking issues. Practice makes perfect. This product is easy to use...easy to store...and cost effective.
