All camera controls are fully functional through the housing and depth rated to 200ft (60m). Easy open latch and drop in camera loading make set-up a breeze. Two 12-24 threaded mounts on the bottom of the housing allow for the secure attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories. ups and downs

This housing is better than the Canon version, as it does let you access all of the buttons on your camera (the Canon housing restricts your button access). However, the wide lense completely blocks off the internal camera flash, meaning that you MUST buy the external strobe that goes with this camera...and the strobe will run you at least $400. Yikes. That's more than the cost of the housing or the camera.That being said, the housing does work very well, and is easy to handle underwater (even with 7mm mitten gloves). I would reccomend it, but make sure you get the strobe at the same time.

Outstanding underwater housing.

I have taken this housing on two different trips and I love it. This housing is extremely easy to use underwater, even with thick gloves on.Never had any problem with leaks and the slightly negative buoyancy make it easy to handle.The SD1400 takes stunning photos and videos, so this is a perfect pair!
