great fit

Shoes allow you to adjust for high instep, and wide feet. You can wear them all day with no problem. My only complaint was the sole wears out to quickly. Wish the material there was more durable.

Saved medical expense!

These were for my mom who was suffering from worsening bunions. The front portion of these shoes are stretchable, allowing them to conform to the foot. I put away her other shoes and gave her these - checking on her in the home every couple of days. The relief was almost immediate. The redness and inflammation to those areas of her feet are gone, and she loves these shoes!

I have been in search of a nice pair of black shoes that are bunion friendly for my mom. Basically, my mom, while she was decades younger, wore high heels living in a huge urban venue where walking is norm, and with her toes pressed into a narrow toe box her foot eventually developed bunions. She regrets having worn high heels back then.All the wide shoes I bought her pressed on her bunion, but not these shoes! Other good choices would be (WW) extra wide Nikes basketball shoes.The best style of shoes for her would be ones with stretchable fabric covering the joint areas of her big toes, so that her joints are not pressed. Also, a roomy toe box of shoes allows healthful stretching space for toes in shoes.Thanks for making these shoes, Orthofeet! They keeps older adults active and walking.
